Lost Temple revolves around control of the fountain & creeps in the center of the map. The 8 low level creep camps can be taken by your hero right as he starts & can use the healing fountain early as blademaster with windwalk, or at night.
A common strategy is to awake the creeps to lure to the opponent. The map has Goblin Lab for zepplins & a quickly attainable second goldmine. This map generally favors undead & human players, because of the lack of mercenary camps & the importance of control of the healing fountain, but the orcs blademaster will still have great versitility with the mid camps & fountain. Players starting on the left & bottom sides of the map have significantly more lumber behing their goldmine.

TFT Ladder - Broken Shard
Broken Shard is a map with no neutral camps or fountains. The creep camps are all mid level, the entire map favores mid game prowess. Mid-game strategies like huntress rush, grunts & raiders, or fiends, orcs & NE should expect to do best on this map. You can expect some fast leveling from the strong xp gain & closeness of the mid level camps. Level 5 fairly early is pretty viable.
The camps in middle have poison & shadow strike & can make quick work of your army if you go in too early. I recommend 2-3 grunts first. A fun map that will likely be over in 20 mins.

TFT Ladder - Terenes Stand
Terenes Stand is the most balanced of the 1v1 ladder maps, and the most fun. :P
The left base is more outward & the right base has more potential defense. The left base starts closer to it's merceneray camp but farther from the neutral tavern. Overall the map slightly favors the one starting on the left side, the tree line is more narrow for his base adding some defense.
As far as terrain imbalances theres not much more to add, the map is very well balanced altogether.

TFT Ladder - Trisifal Glades
Trisifal Glades is the least popular of the 3 standard 1v1 maps.
I think the main reasons this map is disliked is because: a) The creep camps are boringly similar mid level camps repeated. b) the map is basically two paths that do not connect with eachother until the other's base.
The terrain gives at least these 3 advantadges, overall the bottom right player has a slight edge over his opponent. 1) The bottom right player is placed closer to his first creep camp, about 1 or 2 seconds closer.
2) The terrain dips just outside the outlines of where the bottom right players base would end for both entrances, making this ideal for defense, the top left player does have this for 1 entrance but not the bottom. 3) The top left player has a deeper forest for lumber on his left side.
The assasins in the merc camps are especially good for orc & Ne. Strong ranged base damage, hp, poison & shadow meld

Echo Isles - Terrain Warcraft III Frozen Throne
Echo Isles is thee most popular 1v1 map in Warcraft III, its a small versatile map with a few unique tricks I will show you.
When we look at the whole map we notice both sides are nearly identical. But there are a couple of terraining differences that give each player a slight advantage over the other.
Notice how the player on the left's (top left island) treeline sticks out further than the player on the rights. This provides a stronger defense against early rushes & peasant harassment. (look at A) The left base has an incline that shortens the player on the right's attack line of sight when in conflict at this area. Compare this to (C), a wide open space favoring neither player. The right-side player (top right island) also has some advantadges. (Look at E) This treeline makes the bottom entrance to his island less open to attack due to how narrow & twisted to the right side it is. Now look at (B).
A large tree forst not available for the left player's expansion mine. Here's a notable hiding spot for a lumber mill. Make sure to kill the neutral camp first though :P & not to harvest the tree line hiding you. Have fun in melee!

Fire Emblem Tribute: A custom map for Warcraft III: Frozen Throne
Fire Emblem has provided such a powerful mix of storyline & gameplay to the gaming community. There was so much motivation from the series going into this Warcraft III map it was a thrill to spend the 4 months in development.
By the way, if you are unsure & interested in playing this game you will need three things: 1) Warcraft III & Warcraft III expansion. 2) An internet connection, which I'd hope you have if you are reading this! 3) The latest official Fire Emblem Tribute map can be downloaded at it's official website: fireemblemtribute.com.
What started out as a terraining/cinematic project has turned into an open playing field with your favorite Fire Emblem characters.
Map Description: The Continent of Tellius brews with war, once again. General Petrine and the Black Knight of Daein have made an alliance with the country of Begnion, and taken over nearly all of Tellius. It is up to the Greil Mercenaries to stop Daein's rule.
Cities & Forces
Begnion:
Begnion has grown very strong over the recent years with their alliance with Crimea. But now the senators of Begnion have chosen to form an alliance with Daein in search of power. The citizens are left confused & scared.
Daein:
Daein has vast numbers of loyal combatants seeking glory & riches. Headed by King Ashnard & the Black Knight, they are the strongest force in all of Tellius.
Gallia:
Gallia is the only force fighting for freedom that still has vast power left. The gallians are beast-like creatures known as Laguz. There are different kinds of laguz as well: Bird/Hawk Laguz, beast laguz, and rarely seen only in royalty are Lion laguz. Laguz leadership is determined only by one's own physical strength.
Crimea:
The Crimeans are lead by Queen Elincia, who was saved just a short while ago by the Greil Mercenaries. Her country has been struggling after a devastating unannounced invasion lead by Daein. They have begun reconstruction, but if Elincia chooses not to assert herself & her country with the Begnion senators, then Crimea could fall once again.
Greil Mercenaries:
Now led by Ike, the Greil Mercenaries accept Queen Elincia's plee for help. They set out, few in number to bring freedom & break the oppression for all of Tellius.
